Change management

Our business change management professionals would work with your staff and suppliers to facilitate successful delivery outcomes.

On some programmes or projects you may wish to have a particular role filled with a suitably experienced programme manager, project manager or business analyst for example. In other instances it may be beneficial to keep a piece of change work completely ring-fenced and have most, if not all, of the resource brought in from outside. We can assist with either scenario.

To ensure the successful delivery of the desired business benefits and outcomes we employ de facto change management processes such as PRINCE 2, Managing Successful Programmes and iterative methods like DSDM Atern.

In addition to using these globally recognised standards our organisation is currently developing a new, integrated programme and project management method to improve on deficiencies in the existing methods by focusing on the skills and tools required to deliver business change.

The typical business change management process would include:

• Building the change governance structure
• Installing risk and issue management processes
• Putting in place an appropriate change request process
• Shaping and defining specific business outcomes and measures
• Consolidating the full business case (if not already completed)
• Producing an approved programme plan or project plan
• Identifying resource requirements
• Forming a delivery structure using internal resources and external suppliers
• Establishing working parties and communications channels
• Managing the quality, cost and timing of deliverables
• Reporting against the outcomes and agreed plan
• Transitioning deliverables into the business-as-usual environment
• Embedding the business change
• Ensuring that the KPIs provide sufficient management control
• Closing the programme/project along with a review
