Developed a CRM ecommerce portal

As this market leading IFA quotations platform is used by a range of businesses including large IFA networks and firms it was essential to create customisable versions of the platform to support co-branding.

Their challenges

At the time of this requirement the firm’s corporate finance strategy was to invest predominantly in new commercial propositions to meet institutional pressures rather than enhance existing services. However the sales force, providers and the largest IFA firms were demanding this capability. The initial attempts at specifying this co-branding capability was not successful due to the amounts of investment required.

Our approach

Through networking with suitably creative and motivated business analysts, content specialists and IT specialists we brought together a working group to focus on breaking through this dilemma. Through exploring a number of simple and less sophisticated technical solutions we were able to deliver 90% of the original requirements with very little development cost.

Outcome

Immediately following the launch of the customisable ecommerce portal is was adopted by several large IFA firms and networks. This increased the ongoing subscription revenue by 10%. The overall revenue uplift was greater than 10% as the service also receives revenue from all the quotations that pass through the portal.
